myminifactory
On the Cours Albert 1er stands this magnificent monument, the last one produced by the French sculptor Antoine Bourdelle (1861-1929). The work was commissioned in 1908 by the Franco-Polish Committee to represent the works of the poet Adam Mickiewicz. The monument, titled The Polish Epic, is a symbol of national defense and the complicated history of Poland. Though this work is in the open, this version scanned was that held at the Boudelle Museum in Paris.
