L'Hexagone - A Hattori Variation
prusaprinters
IntroductionThe “L'Hexagone” variation of Hattori, with its 7 tiles can visualize the basic part of the puzzling element of Hattori. A single shape, a tile perfectly encased, a closed system. Contrary to the original semi-circles, the connected shapes are Northern and Southern France (without Corsica, small islands, lakes, rivers and overseas territories)SuggestionsFor me, using 4 four colour (3 of the trikolor of the French flag and 1 contrasting). With no real planning behind which part is which colour in the completed puzzle, I randomized the base colour positions. That allowed me to print in batches, which also required a filament change midway through. Resulting in these double colour tiles. I suggest to place the filament change to atleast the halfway point but before the final layer, that contracting colour really makes it pop. Its important to note that 2 with blue underside, 2 with red underside and 3 with white underside seemed like the most balanced way to set up the print. NotesIf there are requests for a full set of Hattori, with this French “twist”. I will add it to this model later.
