Mount a Cheapo 3.5W Laser on the Wanhao Duplicator i3. Based on the STL file available from Robots Everywhere, download and install it for free now. A basic installation guide is included, follow it carefully to set up your device correctly. Both the mount and the setup guide are still in development; if you find any issues or want to suggest improvements, please let us know immediately. 04/12/2016 - We've updated the design to include a gap around the bottom of the heatsink for better heat dissipation and easier installation of the laser module. 04/12/2016 - The STL file now contains both mk3 (3.5W) and mk4 (5.6W) housing designs for DIY engraving machine projects; you can separate the meshes in Simplify3D if needed. Print Settings: Rafts: It doesn't matter which raft type you choose. Supports: Yes, our design includes supports to ensure a successful print. Resolution: We recommend using 0.2mm resolution for optimal results. Infill: Use 25% infill density for a good balance between strength and weight. Notes: You may need to scale down the design slightly to fit your laser tightly; we've found that scaling it down works best on other printers.
