L-bracket (FreeCAD, Parametric)
thingiverse
General adaptable/parametric FreeCAD-drawing for an L-bracket with supports. -- Open the file in FreeCAD (made in version 0.18.4, so at least that version). Make sure you have "Combo View" visible (Menu: View > Panels > Combo view > [v]). Combo-View content, Property and Values: PARAMETER - change and the content will adapt, for some range. Sketch.Constraints .width - how wide the sides should be - PARAMETER .tt - calculated as sqrt(sqrt(width)) - the fourth root of .width => used as thickness of the parts .s_max - support distance, maximum; - PARAMETER as the distance reaches this value one additional support is added, minimum 2 supports Pad - extrusion of Sketch .Length - PARAMETER How long the bracket should be, minimum 15, filleting breaks below this. maximum? well, not investigated at this writing; 150:ish is still ok. Sketch001 - Carbon copy of Sketch Swapped lines and curves from/to construction mode to allow supports to be generated... Pad001 - Extrusion of Sketch001, the first support LinearPattern - second support and onward .Length - how far the linear patter should extend .Occurences - number of supports to generate Both calculated based on Pad.length and Sketch content Fillet .Radius - calculated based on Pad.Length Short lengths does not allow the general readius, so limited when below 25mm The filleting should be on face16 too, but that triggers a well known bug at addition of the third support.
