L-bracket for DSLRs
thingiverse
I designed an L-bracket specifically for Canon 5D Mark II-IV and 6D cameras, but it should fit other DSLRs as well. I printed it with Carbonfiber PETG in five layers all around and 50% triangle infill. After printing, I snapped off the support and the lower bars on the arca style dove tail, then re-cut the 1/4-20 treads. A 1/4-20 camera screw was added for a secure fit. To prevent scratching, a rubber piece can be attached to the lower left corner of the camera. I included a Ninjaflex piece that I printed and glued into this corner for an extra secure fit. The bracket appears to be incredibly durable and completely rigid. Update: Version 2 is thinner and fits the 5DM2 more snugly. I realized that the material is strong enough for this smaller version, allowing me to refine its design.
