Modify to your desired hose, I simply pressed and glued mine in. You can add a spring in the hole but it wasn't really necessarily. I added a seal which I cut from an old mouse pad (2mm thickness). The original connector didn't have this but I found that air was leaking around the connector in both the original and my version
