Kyosho Ultima ST/RB AE-53 (UM-1) diff gear and cover

So, this is my modified version of the vintage AE-53 diff housing/gear. I've only uploaded one version of the gear, which features maximized teeth width - a key advantage over other gears on the market. By using ARRMA part nr. AR310762 steel input gear and my modified idler, you can achieve much wider teethed gears. Alternatively, you can also use stock gears if you prefer; this design is compatible with them, so no worries. I've discovered that some Kyosho models feature part nr. UM-1 for gear sets. Interestingly, the diff cover/gear of these gear sets is identical to the AE-53 (something I confirmed by ordering one myself). With some careful planning, there should be enough space to shim the diff gears if needed - and I've found that using new diff gears (part nr. OT-28) results in smooth operation with no issues at all. It's essential to cross-tighten the diff cover gears for a smooth turning diff, so don't forget this crucial step! To further ensure optimal performance, I also ran my diff using a cordless drill. This design uses stock bearings. When printing the gear and cover, make sure to print them upside down - with the diff outputs laid out on the print bed - or you might encounter clearance problems with the diff gears.
