I upgraded my Kyosho Surfer by swapping out its old engine for the high-performance Traxxas Velineon VXL-3m Brushless Power System that I salvaged from an older Traxxas Slash 1/16 scale RC car. To make it fit perfectly within the Surfer's hull, I custom-designed and built a specialized motormount.
