Kyosho Landjump / Vanning Replica Radio Box
thingiverse
The Kyosho Landjump Integra is believed to be the first 4WD radio control car ever made. Production started in 1981 and these cars were constructed almost entirely from aluminum. Powered by a chain drive, the model was enormous at a scale of 1/8. The engine was a .21 IC Nitro engine. It featured differentials in both the front and rear, trailing suspension in the front, semi-trailing suspension in the rear, and a disc brake on the rear differential. Over time, spare parts have become increasingly hard to find. The plastic cases that hold the electronics are extremely rare. This scarcity prompted me to create replica cases. Initially, I had them vacuum formed, but now I have modeled them using Fusion 360. Details about my Kyosho Landjump can be found on the website Landjump.co.uk. I have made this as close to the original as possible, making only minor changes to facilitate 3D printing.
