Ever run into an RC car body that's too awesome to leave on a shelf, but you just can't bear to put it through the wear and tear of regular racing? Why let it collect dust when you could create a low-cost plastic chassis mock-up to spare its beauty? Print one up and enjoy the best of both worlds. This innovative mock chassis is designed specifically to save your prized Kyosho Fazer muscle car body shell from potential damage. Simply attach the body, stock wheels, and tires to this durable base and display it proudly on a shelf where it'll be safe for years to come. Meanwhile, you can push your main chassis hard with a cheap body on it. The wheelbase of this versatile chassis is adjustable, making it compatible with any touring car. Currently, only the Kyosho Fazer MK2 hubs are included, but if there's sufficient interest, I'll create additional components for use with other touring cars as well. This custom mock chassis was constructed using hot glue and 4mm pins. Two screws secure the adjustable center section, although it could easily be glued in place. The knuckles are also screwed and glued to ensure smooth operation without needing upper arms or other accessories. The stock Kyosho brake disk hubs and wheels simply screw into the stub shaft. Future documentation will provide detailed instructions for assembly. Based on the 3D model picture, you should find it relatively straightforward to put together.
