Kyosho Blizzard Snow Guard / Snow Flap
thingiverse
This Snow Flap is Designed to stop snow flinging off the tracks from getting on the back/ bed of the body, it also adds to the scale looks. The snow flaps don’t seem to affect performance in anyway in my testing and doesn’t seem to cause the snow to pack on the wheels either. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzubsLw53RU ADDITIONAL HARDWARE: 3 x M3 x 12mm button/cap head screw(s) 1 x M3 x 16mm button/cap head screw(s) 4 x M3 Nyloc nut(s) 4x M3 washer(s) (optional) INSTALATION: No drilling of the chassis is required to the chassis plates, the print is designed to bolt straight to existing holes in the chassis plate. Note that this was designed with the Kyosho Blizzard 2.0 and have not been tested on other version so modification might be required, The extra long M3x16 is there so that it can clear the stock plastic cable management bracket, it’s not strictly necessary if you don’t use that piece. PRINTING: For this print I used CURA with the Voxelab Aquila (ender3 clone), I tried both generic black PLA and eSun PLA+. Both materials work fine in my testing so far but I would recommend PLA+ or other brands of “tough” PLA so its not as brittle in the cold. I would highly recommend using both a brim and z hop so you get better bed adhesion especially for the thinner bits and to stop the print head from knocking the print over. I would also print at 4 walls and 4 top/bottom at 25% infill for added durability, I would also keep the layer height at of below 0.2mm again for better over all strength of the print.
