I utilized KhaledAlkayed3D's incredible model and seamlessly imported it into Blender, utilizing the decimation tool to drastically reduce the polygon count down to a mere 10Megs. Next, I skillfully eliminated numerous polygons within the model and then processed it through Netfabb Basic to allow for precise slicing using Simplify 3D. As an added touch, I cleverly embedded the First Order symbol under the base as a playful Easter egg. One final adjustment remains: refining the lightsaber's design to make it thinner and less polished, more resembling electric arcs or flames... Perhaps someone will even build upon this creation :).
