The Kyiv Fortress model was developed by photogrammetry technology and further refined using retopology techniques within 3DsMax software. This ambitious project is Ukraine's largest to date! The purpose behind creating this model is to enable the visually impaired to experience the layout of this area, including architectural features, through tactile means. Plans are underway to bring it to life on a 3D printer. The Kyiv Fortress is an intricate complex of Russian fortifications situated in Kyiv, Ukraine. Construction began after the Pereyaslav Council in 1654 and continued throughout the 17th to 19th centuries. The fortress was built on the site of the existing fortified monastery of Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, showcasing its rich history.
