Kyber Crystal Display Remix
thingiverse
Howdy, just wanted to alter the final product a bit. I thought the kyber crystals were a little low and the holes for the light to come through were too small. The rings on the top piece that hold the top of the crystals weren't fully attached in the 3d file either. I thickened it up as well for more strength. This brings the crystals up to center when the lamp / display is open. The holes are larger letting more light pass into the crystals plus still holding them just fine. The upper ring holders have been strengthened and fused properly so no issues during printing or snapping off after. The center shaft of the main unit has also been lengthened as I used a slightly different lantern than in the original mix. The lantern I used for the conversion is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018L2WM86/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also, the screw I use to attach the top to the main shaft of the printed part that holds the entire thing together is an M6 x 20mm furniture bolt. Longer ones would work too, but you'll be screwing it in there forever. The M6 fits the hole perfectly.
