Developed exclusively for Gray & Pape Inc., this innovative 3-D model was meticulously crafted to facilitate effective mitigation strategies during the removal of two lock tender's houses at Kentucky River Lock and Dam No. 12. Their demolition is a crucial component of a cutting-edge hydroelectric project on the site, identified as FERC Project No. 13214, which encompasses exciting recreational amenities such as state-of-the-art portage facilities for canoes and kayaks, a spacious fishing pier, picnic tables, and engaging interpretative displays. This ambitious project was thoughtfully financed by Lock 12 Hydropartners, LLC in close collaboration with the Kentucky River Authority and the esteemed Kentucky Heritage Council.
