Kwikset Double Deadbolt Holder for Lockpicking
thingiverse
This was a from-scratch creation I designed using TinkerCad. My goal was to craft something that could be easily grasped in your hand or securely held in a vise. To enhance its durability, I incorporated a central support beam, allowing it to withstand regular use with minimal stress. When printing, I found that a 10% fill ratio paired well with a "fast" build profile, such as the Creality Slicer and Ender 3 Pro printer. To assemble this project, simply install two Kwikset deadbolts and secure them together using standard double-deadbolt long screws. This will create a robust and functional device that can be used to great effect. Later, while browsing for similar projects, I came across "thing:3203938" designed by tvirelli. While this design shares some similarities with mine, it features an added anti-rotation tab, which should provide additional stability when working in a vise. Furthermore, its ergonomic design makes it more comfortable to hold, although my own project is still fully capable of performing the task at hand.
