Kwikset Doorknob Lock Holder for Lockpicking
thingiverse
I wanted to remove locks from Kwikset door knobs to make picking easier during practice and save space in my bag. Holding doorknob locks alone for practice was awkward, so I adapted a holder design that worked for double-deadbolts to suit these knob locks. Since no one else had created something similar, I took on the challenge. Spring clips hold Kwikset doorknobs in place instead of screws, and my new holder uses this feature along with anti-rotation tabs to keep the lock secure. When inserting a lock into the holder, ensure the pin section is upright between the anti-rotation tabs, and start the rear clips in the center of their holes. This way, it will fit perfectly. I've made two versions of the holder. To remove a lock from the holder, simply insert the correct key and turn it to release the lock. If you don't have the right key, any random Kwikset-style key will do. However, if you're without a key altogether, the version with a hole in the back allows you to use a dowel or pen to push the lock out from the front.
