KV-IV Fake Tank 1/56 scale version This utterly fictional tank is based on the original model crafted by modeler Brian Fowler in 1997, so it's not even remotely real. However, it's a fun creation that can spark internet discussions or frighten opponents. A word of caution: this massive model consists of many components and will consume a substantial amount of filament and time. The hull measures over 11 inches (28 cm) long. Like the original design, this KV-IV is a Frankenstein's monster of parts from various tanks. Besides the KV-1s, it features turrets from a T60 and a BT-7, as well as a Katyusha. I had to split the hull into three pieces to accommodate my printer's build plate. Gun barrels should be printed horizontally; I used the "touching build plate" support option in Cura. You'll need one of each piece except for the deck turrets, which require four. Print as many stowage items as you think you'll need or utilize TigerAce's Stowage pack. The three hull pieces demand cleaning before gluing together. The tower and tower with turret are optional features that allow the vehicle to hide behind a small Ural while spotting targets for its weapons. The quickest option is printing just the tower, clipping off the base plate, and then gluing or placing it on top of the midships' turret. Printing the "Tower with Turret" option takes longer but provides more stability. Good luck and happy printing! For a few laughs, I've created stats sheets for Bolt Action.
