I modified Kuro's excellent MK7 based geared Bowden to use an M5 or M6 BSPT pushfit connector. The hex nut retainer channel is gone, replaced with a bolstered hole for the pushfit.

Instructions

BOM is the same as Kuro's, but replacing the 5/16" nut with the BSPT fitting. I've also added a couple of specialty things you might not have on hand:

2 springs for idler tension

3 625zz bearings

1 MK7 drive gear

1 M5x40mm hex headed bolt

1 M5x30mm bolt *2 M5 lock nuts (helps to avoid overtensioning the big gear axle)

2 M3x35mm bolts

1 M3x20mm bolt *1 M3 x 6mm cup point grub screw

2 M3x10mm bolt *1 M5 or M6 BSPT pushfit for 4mm tubing

Assorted nuts and washers Follow Kuro's instructions outside of the tube attachment. To mount the pushfit, use an appropriate wrench to slowly self-tap with the pushfit connector.

Category: 3D Printer Extruders
