SCALE TO 53.19%! My Kumiko light box prototype came out great, but it had a few snags. The light isn't evenly distributed inside the box, likely due to the LED strip and short pillar combo. Oops! Also, the holder doesn't stay put as I thought it would. That's okay though, because I found a video of someone who made a wooden Kumiko lamp, so I redesigned it in Fusion 360. I added the Fusion 360 file for anyone who wants to fix or modify it. It'd be best to use a round LED lamp or something to get the light evenly distributed. I only used LED strips because that's what I had on hand at the time. Don't worry, this is just a concept, not a final product. It's a big design, by the way. Just scale it down to 53.19% when you print, so you don't have to wait all day for one panel. I didn't reduce it in Fusion because I already spotted some design flaws and was working on Version 2 as soon as printing started. I'm actually working on Version 2 right now to fix those issues. It's currently being printed out. And who knows, maybe there'll be a Version 3 that makes a frame where you can just add the panels and design your own stuff – or even add a litho in! That would get rid of the openings on the sides that let light escape. Next up, I'm making one that runs on USB power to ditch the wiring hassle altogether.
