Assembly demands precise gluing. This is a remix of part DE from the Kuka KR150 industrial robot model by blacklightshaman. The design requires one print with 2 axes, posing a significant challenge due to narrow clearances that make printing difficult on an FDM printer. To overcome these challenges, this part has been divided into three separate prints: DEtop, DEmiddle, and DEhinge. Assembly instructions: After printing each component and removing supports, place the hinge in the hole of DEmiddle, ensuring it sits snugly inside with its flat side facing down. If necessary, scale up the hinge by 1-2% to achieve a stronger grip without compromising fitment. Next, insert the DEhinge into the walls of DEtop between the circular faces. Verify the alignment using measurements before applying a tiny drop of glue from each side of the hinge. Be cautious not to get any glue near the clearance area. Quickly snap the DEhinge into place while the glue is still curing. Constantly operate the hinge manually during this process to prevent glue residues from curing and causing the components to become stuck.
