The oldest calligraphic form of the various Arabic scripts is Kufic, which evolved from a modified version of the old Nabataean script. Developed around the end of the 7th century in Kufa, Iraq, this script owes its name to its place of origin. Other prominent centers also played a significant role in shaping Kufic. A powerful verse from The Noble Quran reads: "Don't be sad. Allah is with us." This phrase holds special significance and is mentioned in Sura 9, Verse 40.
