KuduStruder
thingiverse
This design features a direct drive extruder using a geared Nema 17 stepper motor. It is inspired by RoBotniK's Robotruder, but with several improvements and alterations. Key features include: 1) MK7 equivalent drive gear (8mm ID) that eliminates the need to turn down shaft on a lathe 2) Compatibility with both 1.75mm and 3mm filament 3) Gregg's/Wade's mount bolt pattern and J-Head compatibility 4) Quick release mechanism for easy hot end access 5) PTFE retainer clip for using 1.75mm PLA or ABS with a 3mm hot end 6) Integrated 40mm fan duct to cool J-Head and/or Metal Magma hot ends Future updates will include instructions, installed pictures, video, and a BOM listing components like the geared Nema 17 stepper motor, MK7 drive gear, 40mm fan, Quick Release KuduStruder Body, Hot End Retainer, Filament Pinch Link, and more.
