Experience an exhilarating game dubbed as 'Viking Chess' known as Kubb, pronounced as 'KOOB'. This engaging activity is reminiscent of horseshoes or cornhole, but with added strategy and elements. Typically played outdoors in full-size versions, rainy weather poses no hindrance, as compact variations are available for enjoyment. These smaller sets can be used with your Seej engines. Kubb was created by Todd, the MakerBot Kubb Champion of 2012. For detailed rules of this game, explore online sources. The general gist of playing involves setting up the blocks (kubbs) at the baseline and the tall king in the center. Teams take turns to throw sticks at their opponent's kubbs, aiming to knock them down. Captured kubbs are placed on your side, with each team taking turns to throw sticks from their base line or as far forward as the farthest captured kubb. The opponents' kubbs must be knocked down before their base line kubbs to count. Once all kubbs are captured, the king can be knocked down. However, knocking down the king prematurely results in a loss. For a comprehensive explanation of the rules, visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kubb and http://yardgames.us/kubb-rules.html.
