I wanted to 3D print this in ABS to handle exhaust temperature and UV exposure, but the base (lid) profile was causing my printer to curl it badly. To fix this issue, I simply sliced a part of the model and extended it to create a straight profile. This solution may not be as visually appealing, but it should print much more smoothly ;).
