The Orbital Hub Alpha is a Kerbal spoof of the historic Soviet Almaz and Salyut space station initiatives. Featured here is a "Cislunar" orbital compound acting as a mothership for 3 mini landers and a micro shuttle supporting the Lunar (KSP: Munar) exploration program. The O.H.A. is constructed with parts from Level 1 Research Compound with modules launched using medium lift rockets under 150 tons (i.e., I'm too thrifty to upgrade the Research Facility with 902,000 funds in a KSP Career game). This station revolves around a standard Living Quarters Module with three LK-0 mini-landers and one X-1A Micro Shuttle attached to facilitate orbital rescue or crew recovery during cislunar (KSP: cis-munar) operations. Propulsion for the translunar (KSP: trans-munar) injection phase of the mission is provided by the O.H.A.-2 Propulsion Module which is discarded on a collision course with the Moon (KSP: Mun). Note: The acronym for this space station is a play on words, highlighting its small size and modest capabilities.
