Kryptonite Sword
myminifactory
Full size Kryptonite Sword prop, printable in parts (PETG recommended) for a dramatic display of your cosplay skills. Additional hardware required for a full build with electronics includes: Six M5 grub screws to secure the components firmly in place. A WS2812B LED strip measuring 144 meters long to create an immersive light show effect. Two short WS2812B LED strips, each with a density of 60/m, to serve as status lights that flash and shine with excitement. An 18650 LiIon battery with a built-in protection circuit to keep your prop safe and secure. The Adafruit Trinket 3.3V board is the brain behind the operation, controlling the lights and sounds with precision. A 12mm rotary encoder with a short shaft and switch adds an interactive element to your Kryptonite Sword prop. Three resistors with values between 10kΩ and 100kΩ provide flexibility in the circuit design. An optional reed switch can be added for extra functionality, but is not required. One nut and bolt with an M4 thread or smaller size are necessary for assembly and disassembly. Epoxy glue holds everything together securely and makes any repairs a breeze. Black and Silver spray paints bring the prop to life, giving it a metallic sheen that shines in the light. You can find a work-in-progress thread on this prop and other related props on the Replica Prop Forum at https://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=275987. If enough people show interest in building the electronics, I'll consider publishing the schematic and Arduino source code for your convenience. The S logo SVG file is originally from Wikimedia Commons, where it's labeled as being in the public domain.
