The Krups 871 Espresso Machine has a plastic clip on the handle that holds the grounds basket. After using the machine, when you are thumping the used grounds out of the basket, you can use this clip to hold the basket in place; this mainly avoids burning your fingers and gives you better leverage than removing the basket and banging it directly against the compost.

Unfortunately, the piece isn't very sturdy, and the vigorous thumping you need to do to release the grounds tends to break it.

This replacement should be printed in a high-temperature tolerant material like ABS or PETG. To hold the piece to the model, I used a pair of M1.6x4mm screws. The first few versions of this that I made broke, but this one seems thick enough to stand up to a bit of punishment. I don't actually make espresso with this machine all that often, because it's a bit of a production and makes a lot of noise, so I've only actually used it twice, but so far it looks fine.

I recommend printing this in the orientation given, so that the stresses on the piece will be within layer lines rather than across them. I also added a brim to get it to stay in place on the build plate. Be careful with the supports as well--if they run up through the center of the lower hole, they become pretty impossible to remove. An xy distance of 0.7 seemed to work well.

I've included a gcode file to get the weight and time estimates, but it's always a better idea to slice things yourself. I kind of hope Printables gets rid of the gcode features.
