I attempted to upload a custom 3D model to SecondLife back in the day, instead of using a ripped asset from a game. This was also my first time creating a model based on reference images, specifically side views. The result isn't perfect, but it's a start. As for photo-realism, I've never been that skilled, and texture work always seems to be lacking in my creations. Maybe someday I'll improve those skills.
