I designed this router base for my Kress 1050-1 router. It normally sits in my CNC machine, but I couldn't resist using it for other tasks because it's just too nice. This very accurate and powerful machine fits comfortably in one hand, making it perfect to convert into a trim/palm router with the help of this base. The height is adjustable through three screws. All the screws used in this design are 10mm M5 machine screws that come with M5 inserts (you can easily find these on eBay by searching "M5 Steel Threaded Flat Insert"). There are two bottom half designs available, one completely round with a diameter of 10cm and another one with an indent of 1cm, leaving 4cm from the flat side to the center. The latter design allows you to screw on an accessory. I included an accessory block that makes it easy to screw or glue a flat piece of 6mm thick plywood to use as a circle jig. This base clamps onto the router with a collar clamp. Since the neck of my Kress has a diameter of 43mm, you can use this base on other routers if they have the same diameter. Here's a list of routers/spindels that have a 43mm neck diameter: Kress 530-FM / 800-FME / 1050-FME / 1050-FME-1 Kress FM 6990 E / Kress FS 6901 E AEG GS 500 E AW-FSE 500 / 1050 / 1600 Bosch GGS 27C / GGS 28C / GGS 28LC / Isel UFM 500 / UFM 1050 Makita GD0600 / GD0800C Metabo FME 737 Proxxon BFW 40/E Suhner UAC 28-F / UAC 25-F / UAC 25-RF / UAC 30-RF Suhner UAD 28-F / UAD 25-RF / UAD 25-RF I printed this design in ABS with three solid outlines and an infill of 35%.
