Kress - Mafell compatible CNC Dust Shoe
thingiverse
Here is my dust shoe.\r\nBefore mine, I only saw 2 dust shoes that relied on sucking air at the bit level and not 5-10cm away with a brush.\r\nIt works perfectly (see videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLqacFkN3Pw and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iybi_flSjKE).\r\n\r\nMine can open so you have clean access to the clamping nut for tool change.\r\nThe dust shoe holder is simple and springy, this is by design as it helps when opening the shoe for tool change.\r\nAlso, it helps fitting as the shoe is designed to fit on the little part of 43mm router ring that is out of the router holder.\r\n\r\nThe shoe is put in place with the help of the vacuum tube weight and the tube holder that can be rotated too. (You get much access if you rotate slightly to the right).\r\n\r\nUse M5 bolt for the opening part, and use M3 screws to tighten the dust shoe to its holder.\r\nUse the weight of the vacuum tube to help fit.\r\n\r\nThis one does not need any brush as you can see on the videos.\r\n\r\nI don't recommend PLA as it would not stand the heat of the router ring.\r\nUse PETG or ABS.\r\n\r\nMaffel is okay (tested on mine), waiting for confirmation about the Kress holder.
