Kral replacement .177 mag cover

The covers on my Kral magazines (.177cal) broke within a couple of weeks of owning them, and it appears that the plastic is too brittle to support a long-lasting flex design. This is my design for a direct replacement that I've come up with. This design was created to be printed in ABS, so you may need to adjust the axis % in your slicer to get the best fit. For ABS, increase all axes by 1%. A small amount of filing and opening up of holes may be necessary, particularly in the detent hole that stops the mag cover from spinning around. For the metal pin, I used a small tack commonly used in flat-pack furniture for holding back boards on. Place the tack point down in the mounting hole, then heat the head with a jet lighter or similar for roughly 3 seconds. Quickly before it cools, use a screwdriver or something similar to push the tack into the cover so the head seats just below the level of the plastic. Trim the tack to about 2mm and file it down to the final dimension of 1.3/1.4mm. It may be necessary to file down the cross-section if you find it's catching when fitted. Print instructions: Mine was printed solid, using adaptive layers for best resolution on the detent arm. If you're not keen on this setting, then print at 0.1mm layer height. I also used supports for the detent arm but had to block supports for the detent hole.
