I didn't really like the bearings just hanging on the edge, prone to falling off when switching spools. I noticed button head M5 has a 9mm diameter, so I made a 4.85mm diameter hole on each end and you can add a m5 button head that has a length of 12mm or below. I printed this in abs and went slow when using the bolt to thread into the print, if you use PLA/PETG it should be fine, just Don't tighten too much, when it feels snug, loosen it by 1/8th of a turn (tbh use your best judgement) and then to see if bearing moves without a lot of force. From what I have noticed the main spool holder doesn't need to be modified, you might have to shave a little bit if you can't push it down without needing a lot of force. once you put the new roller in, manually spin it to make sure it moves, mine spins but sometimes doesn't I don't find it to be a big deal, and I hope this remix is useful for other people! If you happen to have low profile bolts like these, https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256802812200438.html clearance would be slightly better by 1mm on each end.
