Kozo Hiraoka's Rio Grande K-27 driving wheel pattern features an 89mm gauge and a 1/10.27 scale (1 inch equals 1.17 feet). The design is based on measurements from a drawing published in Live Steam Magazine, Volume 47, Issue 5. Although the pattern has been hollowed, this does not affect its functionality. It was used to create a rapid prototype part through Shapeways production process.
