Kotwica - Znak Polski Walczącej
thingiverse
Wikipedia: The Anchor (; Polish for "Anchor") was a World War II emblem of the Polish Underground State and Armia Krajowa (Home Army) that fought against the German occupation. It was created by AK Wawer Minor sabotage unit members in 1942, as an easily recognizable symbol for Poland's struggle to regain its independence. The initials PW initially stood for Pomścimy Wawer ("We will avenge Wawer"), referencing the Wawer massacre on December 26-27, 1939, which was one of the first large-scale massacres of Polish civilians by German troops in occupied Poland. Polish scouts from sabotage groups originally painted the phrase PW on walls. However, it soon became an abbreviation that symbolized Polska Walcząca ("Fighting Poland"). In early 1942, AK organized a design contest to create an emblem representing the resistance movement. Anna Smoleńska's winning design combined P and W into the Anchor. Smoleńska was arrested by the Gestapo in November 1942 and died in Auschwitz at age twenty-three in March 1943.
