Most Kossel kits arrive without a decent spool holder, your bed's rarely perfectly level from the start and you require a reliable spool holder that's easy to print. The model this remix is based on uses far too much plastic, takes up excessive bed volume and incorporates a printed bearing which can become noisy. This design is lightweight, compact and adjustable while also being able to fit almost any Kossel I believe! If you need extra length on the arms, just let me know. This design utilizes an old HDD bearing from a Toshiba drive with a 43 mm diameter at the bottom and 25mm at the top. The included bungs slot onto the top of the bearing. I have 52mm and 54mm designs available; I will update the 52 one to save on plastic and add a label in the future. The bungs may need slight sanding depending on your Kossel's tolerances. All parts were completely designed using Fusion 360. For best results, from my tests with the standard motor position of the extruder, it has a bit of binding and you get some underextrusion when pulling or retracting more material. This is due to the length and route it must travel. It also causes messy spool winding if you manually feed extra material because it's no longer under tension from the extruder. To counter this, I recommend moving the extruder to the top triangle with a new 100cm stepper cable. This gives you the necessary length to move it. Overall, this makes the travel distance as short and direct as possible from the spool while also making the Bowden tube go straight down the middle of the machine, giving it the most direct path with minimal resistance.
