Kossel Pro - improved cooling - 40x40 axial fan
thingiverse
The nozzel cooler is designed for delta printers with E3D V6 hotends, offering enhanced cooling from all sides to prevent uneven cooldown of printed layers. It was specifically designed for my Kossel Pro with a BL Touch autoleveling probe but should work on any printer with the specified hotend or similar ones. This version works with 40x40 mm axial fans and is an adaptation of the original design, meant for 50x50 radial fans: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2402116 The radius of the cooling pipe allows enough space between the 3D printed part and the heating block. I recommend insulating your heating block with fireproof insulation (available in any 3D printer store or online) for three reasons: * To avoid heat deformations on the pipe * To prevent cooling down the hotend and destabilizing the temperature PID controller * To avoid heating up the cooling air The design uses two fans: * A 30x30 mm axial fan to cool the hotend radiator and prevent filament upflow * A 40x40 mm axial print cooling fan for overall printing cooling The 30x30 axial fan was delivered with the printer, while the 40x40 mm print cooling fan provides less pressure than radial fans, which is why I included a cooling pipe version with bigger vent holes. Both fans are placed compactly around the hotend to balance it out and avoid interfering with delta rods. This adaptation was suggested by a fellow maker, so if you see potential for improvement, please let me know!
