Human: Holds in place a 22cm diameter heat bed on the Kossel Mini's frame using clips. The setup remains secure due to a 5mm lip that doesn't get too close to the heated area's effective reach. This holds a "sandwich" standing at 19mm high, comprised of (bottom up): 3mm thick borosilicate glass with a 22cm diameter. 11.5mm thick cork board from IKEA HEAT, measuring 20cm in diameter, with an unknown fire rating though. 1.5mm MK2Y 200 heat bed. 3mm thick borosilicate glass with a 22cm diameter. There's 5mm clearance at the base allowing for elevation away from the electronics underneath even though the cork board insulates the heat. This project is work-in-progress; powering up the heat bed won't happen soon, given there's already a RAMPS problem in place. A safety precaution likely to be taken would involve adding a kapton layer between the heat bed and cork board. Three clips secure their positions via three 30mm M3 hex pipes, having replaced one of the original M34 screws with an M38mm screw, while installing six M3*8 screws to lock the top plate in place firmly. Installation procedure: Mount three base units, lay out one piece of glass, adjust them, and tighten each piece firmly. Install cork board afterward (its surface features grooves that cater for the thermistor cable's presence). Loosen only one base unit now and install the heat bed, along with top glass next to it. Securely fasten the loosened base unit once again in place. It's recommended to tighten the dual M3*8 screws on all three top plates with gentle care; be cautious not to apply too much pressure, lest you risk stressing the print material or even breaking the fragile glass surface underneath. Removal of components is made straightforward by loosening one base unit only.
