Kossel Mini Motor Vertex "Heel"
thingiverse
The original design poses a risk as the set screws on the lower vertex can become loose and the belts' tension pushes the tower extrusion through the bottom. I resolved this issue by adding a heel below the motor vertex, providing additional support for the tower extrusion without relying solely on the two set screws. This added feature also serves as foot pads for the machine. The OpenSCAD file is included, but it's essential to download the complementary support files from Johann's github repository at https://github.com/jcrocholl/kossel. To get started, follow these instructions: One key adjustment you can make in the .scad file is modifying the heel height according to your preference. A critical note - I miscalculated and initially made my heel too low; therefore, additional foot pads had to be printed as a corrective measure. Don't forget that a flat washer must be secured on each of the four screws anchoring the horizontal extrusions adjacent to the tower.
