I'd love it if you liked these designs and found them useful; please do like, follow, and share my content, and if you have any ideas or concepts for modifying the content, I'm all ears! I've created an updated version of this previous Kossel Mini magnetic end effector: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2343169. This model uses existing parts from Kossel Mini kits widely available online and is designed to work with linear rails as well as roller carriage type systems using this part: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2611279. This design was created a while back, but I'm happy to share it with the manufacturing community now. Perhaps it can inspire others to develop similar upgrades to share and enjoy tinkering with their printers! There are many directions one can take with this type of part, but I wanted to keep things simple and utilize the existing auto-levelling mechanism found in most kits. The end effector is slightly larger due to internal ducting for a 30mm part cooling fan and location for a 50mm LED ring light to mount; it would be more suited to larger Kossel machines, but that's up to you to decide. The auto-level mechanism is designed around this type of spring: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/0-7mmx5-8x8mm-Zinc-Plated-Straight-Torsion-Spring-17pcs/331840238093?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649. This design will be updated as time goes on, and I'm excited to see where it takes me. There's plenty to discuss with this kind of thing, and I look forward to more revisions – forever having fun with this!
