Kossel Mini Dual Layer Fan and PEEK cooling Fan
youmagine
One of the most effective add-ons for my Mini Kossel: To achieve outstanding results when printing PLA, especially with complex overhangs or bridges, a dedicated layer fan is crucial. I rely on the "high-rpm," server-grade version of Sunon fans (Type: HA30101V2-0000-A99). The key detail in the ID is "V2." This indicates the 9k rpm model. The ones commonly sold are marked "V3," which run at 5.6k rpm and are designed for home entertainment applications, producing less airflow but quieter operation. I have uploaded two designs: -The first one (...-type2.stl) is tailored for the standard JHead. It features two 50° air nozzles and is my preferred design currently. I've added two mounting brackets with M3 holes for future use, potentially for a Z-sensor.-The other one (...-long.stl) is designed for longer hot-ends (like the Marlin or some of the infamous JHEAD Mk IV clones). It has two 35° air nozzles. And, indeed, it performs flawlessly.
