Kossel Mini Bottom Cover Plate Mount
thingiverse
I crafted a custom board from wood to shield the bottom of my Kossel Mini, ensuring dirt stays out and electronics remain isolated. I designed this mount to securely fasten the wooden piece to the 2020 extrusions using screws. Three pieces provide robust support for optimal performance. To achieve clearance for the mounts, it's essential to elevate the printer by 1-2 cm or more. I've successfully used https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2202372 printed in TPU, which looks and functions perfectly. This mount requires two M4 screws and sliding t-slot nuts (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D83H10W) per piece for secure attachment. A single M3 screw and nut hold the cover firmly in place. To assemble the mount, start by attaching the cover using screws, followed by securing electronics to the cover if desired. Finally, fasten the covers with the mounts for a solid, durable setup.
