Kossel Mini Base Mount (fix Blomker Kit)
thingiverse
I recommend that anyone aiming to build a Kossel machine purchase individual components, especially printing their own components. Having recently received a Blomker's kit, I'm thrilled with its delivery, service and virtually flawless parts, aside from one glaring issue - the subpar plastic pieces. Thankfully, I can fabricate my own but for others who cannot, Blomker needs to improve either his part quality or price because my image clearly shows how unacceptable the base corners they sent me are. Blomker's kits proudly advertise that the components were printed on a Kossel mini - in my case, unfortunately not true, as I achieved superior results using my machine and personally fabricated parts. By the way, note how rapidly the metal sliders turned rusty too :( All of Blomker's orange pieces split, warped, and bent into unuseable shapes due to what can only be described as extreme deterioration. Perhaps it is a normal process with PLA degradation (even though I've never seen this before... supposedly some bad batches have issues) but that is why we create 3D printers with ABS materials, after all - it doesn't suffer from the same flaws. What's more disturbing still, imagining building an entire printer that has to be torn apart in just months because of degradation, making a brand-new printer required within a short span - well that simply won't cut it for me. But on a brighter note, their service was friendly and all the rest, such as instructions, etc., exceeded any previous experiences so this major part of disappointment is an absolute shock when seeing what you sent aren't comparable to other kits in terms of quality.
