Layer/part fan mount and duct designed specifically for your Ultibots K250 BSE (and likely other derivatives). I was unable to find a suitable fan duct and mount solution that met my requirements. Common problems included restricted XY travel limits, poor performance, or flimsy construction. What choice did an engineer have but to design his own? My creation is far from perfect. I acknowledge there are issues with the angles, but printing it in polycarbonate ensures rigidity and prevents softening. This mount is designed for a standard 5015 centrifugal fan to attach to the Ultibots mag ball effector. I highly recommend printing in polycarbonate for its excellent temperature resistance. If you choose to print in another material, be sure to insert some kapton between the heater block and duct for insulation. I have uploaded the native Creo .prt file so feel free to modify it according to your needs. You will also find a STEP and STL version included. The walls on the duct (k250_annularfan & k250_annularfan_cs1.stl) are 0.5mm thick, so be sure to print with a 0.5mm nozzle for optimal results. I suggest keeping these dimensions consistent to ensure a solid single wall; if necessary, modify your CAD or use a 0.5mm nozzle. I do not plan to make any updates at this time. However, please note that on July 4th, 2016, an issue was discovered with the "5015_franbracket_final.stl" file. The old model has been deleted and replaced with a new unbroken faceted design. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Deltaprintr Printer: Deltaprintr Kit Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1mm for duct, 0.2mm for mounts Infill: 100% Notes: Best results achieved with polycarbonate for temperature resistance. M3 hardware required. The duct is noticeably longer than necessary; simply trim it down incrementally until you achieve the perfect fitment around the nozzle. As mentioned earlier, there is an issue with the angle at which the mount holds the fan, so be prepared to adjust the duct accordingly. Once you have achieved a perfectly centered and level installation, apply a small amount of tire glue or CA to one or two sides to secure it in place. Post-Printing: The printed layer/part fan mount and duct is now ready for use with your Ultibots K250 BSE.
