Part cooling fan and hotend cooling system designed specifically for Kossel, drawing inspiration from multiple similar designs but prioritizing size, weight, strength, and suitability to maintain a rigid hold on the hotend. The mounting system provides a secure location for DC42's differential IR sensor, utilizing E3D's heater block sock to insulate the block from the PCB. The PCB is strategically positioned near the nozzle, allowing for efficient heat dissipation. A 35mm fan (3510) is used in this design, as 40mm fans were found to be too large and would interfere with the belts, while 30mm fans were deemed too small and excessively loud. The 35mm fan offers a suitable balance between size and performance. This system is mounted on a metal effector plate, which provides additional stability and support. The mounting holes are spaced at 25mm in diameter, and recessed holders are provided for nuts to ensure a secure fit. This design feature adds an extra layer of protection against self-threading plastic. For optimal results, print the part upside down, taking advantage of the unique design features and optimized cooling performance.
