Kossel Delta Tower Endcap with alternative foot attachment
thingiverse
I really enjoyed the original remix that added holes for use with T-nuts, and I saw a big improvement by clicking on the 'remixed from' link on the left of this page for the main part. However, there's little chance of buying hockey pucks in the UK. I thought I'd try an alternative foot attachment using a 'button' made of TPU in a specially designed holder. There's not much to add when it comes to printing hints: use your preferred material for the attachment itself (I used eSun PLA+), and do whatever you think necessary to get a strong part. I used 3 walls, 3 top and bottom layers, and 30% infill. I used TPU for the button again, with 3 walls, 3 top and bottom layers, and 15% infill. There are many grades and stiffnesses of TPU available, so you may have to adjust these values to get a decent print with sufficient 'squishiness' to meet your needs. I used strips of 3M double-sided tape to hold the buttons in place, simply because I had some available (it's very strong). A dab of glue is also likely to do the job. The fixing screws are M4 x 12mm button-head hex socket.
