Kossel Delta Linear Rod Damper

I built dampeners to span my linear rods on my Anycubic Kossel plus to suppress the vibrations. The rods were "clicking" during fast movements. I designed the dampeners to clip onto the parallel rods, putting a slight amount of tension between them and eliminating the clicking almost completely. The STL file is made so that the distance on the outside of the bars of the printer is 60.5 mm (0.5 mm tolerance for actual 60 mm outer distance) and the bar diameter is 5 mm (.25 mm tolerance built in). The clip's height and thickness are both 2 mm. The OpenSCAD file is completely parametric, allowing you to change your settings as needed. You may want to adjust the thickness or overall length to affect the tension. Since PLA and other plastics tend to stretch out over time, I recommend removing the dampers when not printing. The dampeners are fairly thin, so they can become loose and less effective if left on the machine for extended periods. Removing them between prints slows down this stretching process. I also found another user's thing to be great about quieting my delta printer down. These dampening feet are an amazing improvement, making a big difference in noise reduction.http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1319128 Print Settings: Printer: Anycubic Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 first layer, .3 other Infill: 1.00
