A LED strip holder for Kossel printer (but may be adapted to others). The provided STL files are designed specifically for my Kossel XL 2020 printer (a Renren 3D Pro, a high-quality Chinese printer, in fact). It can be used to add two 30cm LED strips (8mm wide each). Each strip holder comes in two parts: the base and the extension. This design allows it to be printed on any standard 20cmx20cm size printer. A connector box is also included, which can contain a micro switch, and a bundle of connectors (up to five Molex KK254s for example). All these components can be soldered onto a simple piece of perfboard. On the connector, you receive power that passes through the switch and then goes to another connector. Other connectors can be used to power multiple LED strips. I have included the OpenScad source file, allowing you to adapt the parts to any printer. I used the most variable parameters possible at the beginning of the .scad file, which should enable you to change every aspect (length, width, angle, profile size, and LED strip size). If you use this design to create an LED strip holder for a specific type or printer, please do not hesitate to create a remix with the relevant printer reference. This will make it easier for others to find and print their own customized holders. Printer Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Renren 3D Pro Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 25% Notes: Support is necessary everywhere, not just on the bed-based supports. Print them as is in the STL file, which means printing the side that will be at the bottom (on the bed) first. The connector box is easy to print without support. Simply rotate the provided STL file by 90° and print the switch face on the bottom.
