The Filament Jam Sensor is designed for installation on a Kossel Clear. The required components include the Signswise 600p/r Incremental Rotary Encoder, which features a DC5-24V wide voltage power supply and a 6mm shaft. To assemble, M3 bolts will be necessary. Additionally, a 606ZZ bearing with a 17mm OD and 6mm ID is needed. The wheel must be printed out of TPU using one wall layer to make it extremely soft and spring-like against the filament. A preferred print setting includes 20% grid infill with four bottom layers and five top layers. The version two design has proven more effective, as it folds around the filament and securely grips it. However, this results in a slightly increased force requirement to pull through, preventing slipping altogether.
