While doing a frame extension of my 1st delta (Anycubic Kossel Linear), I decided to create a simple method for adjusting belt tension. I saw several designs on Thingiverse, but all relied on multiple screws for adjustment or were simply bulky. So, I designed this after a little thought. What I designed requires an m3 screw, an m5 screw, and the tension wheel. Once assembled, the brace and the belt tension should hold the rig in place. The rig requires the following: (Printed parts per belt) 1 Brace 1 wheel mount 1 knob (non-printed parts) 1 M3 screw - 20mm (attach belt wheel to belt mount) 1 M3 nut 1 M5 screw - 20mm 1 M5 Nut (attach m5 screw to knob) 1 Belt wheel While unnecessary, a second m3 may be used to secure the brace to the printer frame. Assembly: 1. Thread the M5 screw through the top of the wheel mount, from the inside. 2. Insert the belt wheel into the mount and secure it using the m3 screw and nut. Do not make it too tight. The wheel must be allowed to turn. 3. Slide the wheel mount into the brace, with the threaded end of the M5 facing up. 4. Thread the screw through the top of the brace. 5. Insert the M5 nut into the top of the knob and settle it over the end of the m5 screw. 6. Twist a few times to thread the end of the screw into the knob and its M5 nut. (Do not tighten) 7. Settled the completed tension rig into place above the belt, with the wider edge hooked over the inner frame of the corner, the narrow foot seated on top of the place where the belt was mounted. 8. Thread the tension belt through the belt mount, over the wheel, back to the stepper motor and belt anchor point. 9. Twist the knob until the belt has better tension, not too tight. If printed and assembled correctly, there will be 5 to 9mm of tension available. Posted images should help with assembly and mounting.
